GLYCATION WHAT'S NEW?

Erectile dysfunction and glycation: more than just correlations.

Erectile dysfunctions, more and more frequent, are significantly associated with glycation.

Erectile dysfunction is defined as the consistent inability to achieve or maintain a penile erection sufficient for satisfying sexual intercourse. It has a negative impact on the quality of life.

These dysfunctions are more frequent with age with a clear inflection around 50 years and, curiously, their frequency increases in recent years, all ages combined.

For the first time, a study on a male population with an average age of 57 shows that a high level of glycation is significantly associated with severe erectile dysfunction (1).

Interestingly, this study shows that high oxidative stress, a factor aggravating glycation, is also associated with severe erectile dysfunction.

These results are consistent with a study conducted separately demonstrating the positive effects of an AGEs Breaker type molecule on erectile function (2) … at this stage in diabetic rats.

[Glycation is one of the major causes of aging. Resulting from the fixation of sugars on the proteins constituting the organism, glycation generates toxic compounds that cause cellular aging. Glycation is particularly involved in metabolic disorders, skin aging and cognitive decline.]
[AGE BREAKER, patented nutritional supplements, based on rosmarinic acid, recognized by aging specialists around the world for their properties to reverse the effects of glycation.]
